Turning glitches into art since 2007. Exploring surreal landscapes and vibrant digital worlds.
AERTIME is the digital art practice of Jeremy Nealis, a multidisciplinary artist and motion designer based in Madison, Wisconsin. His work focuses on glitch aesthetics, visual distortion, and the relationship between memory and technology. Using techniques like pixel sorting and databending, he transforms digital landscapes into fragmented, dreamlike compositions with a distinct psychedelic and "melty" aesthetic.
Nealis’s work has been exhibited internationally, including with the Glitch Artist Collective and in curated shows such as Glitch Art Is Dead (Minneapolis, MN), Design Shanghai (Shanghai, China), FOCUS Art Fair (New York, NY), and BAD GLITCHES ONLY REDUX (Tokyo, Japan). Earlier exhibitions include Gallery Night (Art In and Lauer Realty Group, Madison), and Outside Looking In at Garver Feed Mill.
His work has been featured in publications such as VICE – Creators Project, Tone Madison, Isthmus, L’Officiel Voyage Russia, The Bozho, and Bikerumor.com.
Beyond the gallery space, Nealis contributes album artwork for international musicians, including house music pioneer Mr. Fingers, as well as Tides From Nebula, Svemirko, Post Child, and others. He has also designed cycling apparel for Pactimo, blending digital abstraction with functional design.
Through a body of work that bridges fine art and commercial design, AERTIME explores the aesthetics of error, the emotional residue of digital decay, and the shifting nature of visual perception in a technology-saturated world.
